041803:

One day in mid-April of 2003, Zane and Matt were hanging out and decided to record something using Matt's MR8 digital recorder. They made a bunch of strange noises using a guitar, a boss GT-6, a Yamaha synth, and various percussive objects. 041803 was the result, Terminal was begun, and they decided to continue doing it 'cause it was fun.

071003:

This was the second installment in the completed Terminal recording set. Zane went to visit Matt one night in the middle of July 2003 and they stayed up all night with the windows open (it was really nice out) making this piece of music using nothing but a guitar, a boss GT-6, the MR-8, and Cakewalk on Matt's computer.

081603:

This would be the last Terminal song created in one sitting by both Matt and Zane. Like 071003, 081603 was created in a single night at Matt's house with the same pieces of equipment used to create 071003 (plus a cheap keyboard).

112503:

The result of Zane's toying around with some analog-ish type plugin in Cakewalk Sonar.

121003:

The fifth and final full creation by Terminal. Zane and Mike worked out most of the first part of the song. Then Matt added some of the guitar work toward the end of the song. It was completed on December 10th, 2003 and uploaded here on IC musicmedia. Look for more creations from Terminal in the future.

03.27.04 Well, if you're even here at all I'm amazed. There hasn't been any new music from Terminal in a few months now. This is due almost entirely to the formation of Via Satellite [the name will change soon]. [~~www.freewebs.com/via_satellite~~] However, I do promise more music from Terminal in the future. Thank you SO MUCH to all of you who told us of the enjoyment you derived from this music. I love you all and wish you whatever it is that makes you happy.

12.10.03 Hey everyone! We're still working on some new music - it's looking pretty promising - should be up sometime in the near future. Also, we're adding Mike to the Terminal line up because he's been adding ideas to a few of the new songs [the stuff that isn't released yet]. We'll let everyone know as soon as the new music is out. 11.25.03 YAY! Finally, there is some new music up on the site. It's a new ambient thing that Zane wrote. Even though it's only like a minute and a half long - i really like it. This weekend, Zane and I will be getting together to finish up some of the songs we've been working on. So look for even more new music by next week. Thanks for checking us out. 11.20.03 Wow. MP3.com is dying. In a few weeks it will delete everything on its servers. So, Terminal has moved to a new music server - check out the link on the main page if you want. Sorry it's taking so long to get some music out. Zane has a really awesome idea or two we've been working on, and i've been working on one a little on my own. But, we don't wanna just put anything up. When we get something good finished - we'll post it.

08.24.03 I added that intro page thing this morning - it's nothing special - i hate the way the audio cuts when you link to this page... It looks like this site is going to be moving soon - we're looking for a good place to put it - if anyone's got suggestions - the monthly bandwidth is just too small here - we can't do anything really interesting with it. No new music this weekend - there were too many distractions the other night for us to get anything done. I'm off to school next week - so it might be a few weeks before we get a new song finished. Still waiting for mp3.com - should only be another day or two at the most [well - three at the most - but i'm hopeful]. Thanks.

08.22.03 So this is the new Terminal site - not that there was an old one. As of now, Terminal consists of two members - Zane and myself. I tried to put some mp3's up on this site - but that blew the hourly bandwidth limit and knocked the site offline for about 5 hours after only being up for about 2 minutes. So i shelled out some cash and got an MP3.com site. Our songs are currently awaiting approval by the MP3.com staff. Once that site is up and running, it will have a link bringing you here and this site will have a link to take you there. As we get some free time zane and I will probably update the format of this site. For now it's pretty much just here for the news and guestbook. Thanks for checking this out.
